The biographies for the writers and artists of Issue #6 are below
Hugh B. Cave has had 33 books and some 1200 short stories published, 43 of the latter in THE SATURDAY EVENING POST. Three of his books, THE CROSS ON THE DRUM, THE MISSION, and THE WITCHING LANDS were bookclub selections. He has also published seven collections of short stories. MURGUNSTRUMM AND OTHERS won a Word Fantasy Award; DEATH STALKS THE NIGHT was nominated last year. A new collection, THE DOOR BELOW, is due out in September 1997 from Fedogan & Bremer. The HORROR WRITERS ASSOCIATION gave him their Lifetime Achievement Award in 1991. Hugh brings RIGHT OF WAY to issue #6 of NIGHT TERRORS.
Don D'Ammassa has been reading and writing horror and SF for thirty years. He is the author of BLOOD BEAST and the forthcoming D'AMMASSA'S GUIDE TO HORROR FICTION. His short stories have appeared in the HOT BLOOD series, ANALOG, PULPHOUSE, SHOCK ROCK, TOMORROW, RETURN TO THE TWILIGHT ZONE, BLOOD MUSE, PETER STRAUB'S GHOSTS, and elsewhere. Don has been a book reviewer for SF CHRONICLE for fifteen years and has published several dozen articles elsewhere.This will be his third appearance in NIGHT TERRORS.
David M. Anderson is a high school English teacher with a special interest in creative writing and American literature. His wife of eight years, Francie, is also his best friend, and their two-year-old daughter, Natalie, has given him an excuse to play with LEGOs® again. His fiction has appeared in such magazines as Phantasm, The Unknown Writer, Highlights For Children, and 69 Flavors Of Paranoia. This is his first appearance in Night Terrors. David brings us his story "Mama."
Paul Walther's stories have appeared in numerous small press magazines, including in Haunts, Space & Time, Freezer Burn, and Cabal Asylum. He lives in Hopkins, Minnesota, with his wife and two sons. Paul's offering is "A Suburban House.
Robin Lochlann Spriggs attributes his lack of a yacht to his degrees in English and Theatre and his pronounced disdain for any mortal authority other than his own. On the professional stage he has played Hamlet, Romeo, Prince Hal, etc. In the movies DOUBLE THREAT and RAW JUSTICE he has brawled with celebrities Andrew Stevens and David Keith, respectively. His book of verse, THE DRACULA POEMS: A POETIC ENCOUNTER WITH THE LORD OF VAMPIRES, was published by Circle Myth Press. He has placed fiction with the anthology GOING POSTAL and with magazines such as TERMINAL FRIGHT, ABERRATIONS, SPACE AND TIME, STYGIAN ARTICLES, FLESH AND BLOOD, PIRATE WRITINGS, CENOTAPH and PLOT. His short story "Mr. Aberystwyth and the Three Weird Sisters" received Honorable Mention in the tenth volume of THE YEAR'S BEST FANTASY AND HORROR. Robin entertains us with his work "The Quickening."
Craig Jones is a 22 year old ex-biology student who is taking a couple of years out to see how far he can take his writing. Currently he has two stories somewhere in that nether region between acceptance and publication for a couple of UK small press magazines. "Serena Blanc" is his first success in the U. S. market. Craig's story of obsession--SERENA BLANC--will chill you.
Keith Minnion works for the Department of Defense doing document automation, Internet, and CD-ROM production. Recent work includes illustrations for the upcoming Terra Incognita, and Richard Laymon's novel "Wilds" for CD Publications. He also recently illustrated books of Marion Zimmer Bradley and Anne McCaffrey for Wildside Press. Keith's story of death in the city is titled, "A Death in the Forest."
Tim Waggoner wrote his first story at the age of five, when he drew Godzilla vs. King Kong on a stenographer's pad. It took him a few more years until he began selling professionally, though. Overall, he's published thirty-four stories and hundreds of nonfiction articles. He has several novels of dark fantasy making the rounds, and hopes an editor will soon have the good sense to buy one and make them both a pile of money. In addition to writing fiction, Tim's worked as an editor and newspaper reporter. He currently teaches writing classes at several colleges in the Columbus, Ohio area. He hopes to continue writing and teaching until he keels over dead, after which he wants to be stuffed and mounted in front of his computer terminal. Tim's psychological tale--All Fall Down--takes us to realms most fear to explore.
Dominick Cancilla's work has appeared in many professional horror venues, including the Best of Cemetery Dance, Robert Bloch's Psychos, and Bending the Landscape anthologies. Dominick is currently working on his first novel; this is his third appearance in Night Terrors.
Derek W. Wass enjoys creating weird tales of horror and humor when he isn't working as a laboratory technician at two hospitals in London Ontario. His work has appeared in Storyteller Magazine, Fine Lines, and The Darkest Hour, as well as various Canadian newsletters. This is his second year as a member of the London & Area Writers' Association. He sites Lovecraft, Tolkien and Bradbury as the authors who most influenced his work and he hopes one day to make enough from his own writing to replace his dog-eared collection of paperbacks. He lives in London, Ontario, Canada with his sweetheart, Carol Ann also a writer a cat, and two cockatiels. Wass is currently working on his first novel.
John R. Platt is the president of the Garden State Horror Writers and the editor of White Knuckles magazine. His short stories have appeared in numerous publications, including Gateways, Dead Lines, Heliocentric Net, Eternity Online and The Blue Lady. His story "Two Dead Guys Walkin' Around Eatin' People" won first prize in 1997's Killer Frog contest for the most outrageous horror story. Look for his work soon in anthologies from Barnes & Noble Books and Dark Raptor Press.

Charles S. Fallis has been doing story illustrations and cover art for awhile now. He was voted "Best new Artist of 1994" by the S.P.G.A. and has published in WEIRDBOOK, AFTER HOURS, MINDSPARKS, PRISONERS OF THE NIGHT, PLOT, SHADOW SWORD, LORE, TALEBONES, NIGHT TERRORS #1 (that great nude on page 20 of NT #1 which everyone has been asking about was his) and #2 and a great many other magazines. He attends college in Salem Virginia where he takes art courses.
D'wayne "DINO" Murphy is a trained illustrator and graphic designer. He and Doug Jasko make up FLATLINE, an illustration team that works primarily in the genres of horror and sci-fi. Dino says he "...enjoys being able to create and unleash on paper the things that nightmares are truly made of .... I have always wanted to illustrate and build a career working in these genrés."
"Screamer" Doug Jasko is a graphic designer/illustrator and the other half of FLATLINE. Screamer says, "I've always enjoyed creating shocking artwork. Not just the in your face kind of horror -- although I do enjoy creating that kind of art -- but the kind that makes people think and will give them a disturbed feeling that something just isn't right. I like putting in just enough reality that it seems almost possible that this scene or person/creature could exist."
